hey man thanks for all the great tunes...wondering if you could link up my site: http://silentsprings.blogspot.com/ I'm responsible for all of this: http://thepiratebay.org/user/silentsprings so i'm looking for some instant karma I'll link you up too. Thanks PEACE
Cool. In '94 I took a bus from UK to Germany to go to the B-Boy of the Year championships, and Tickle was on the coach. I remember a freestyle session through France and Tickle ripped it. I copped this record from him on that same journey. Oh memories!!
This tape was released in 1993 by Total Frequency Records. In a Son Records interview Tickle(now known as Frisco) comments on his background in hiphop:
"Frisco Boogie aka Mr. Fivemics first started practicing the art of hip-hop through B-boying around 1983, after joining a local crew called 'Supreme Force'. We travelled around the country, performing and battling other crews. I started seriously MCing in about '89-90, and this led to me releasing a 12" with a group called 'Solerco', which reached the semi-finals of the Sony Dance Music Championships in 1993 (!). I ended up doing another 12" that year, 'Mr. Kinkleton', on Total Frequency Records. During this time I also played drums in various Nottingham funk bands.
